Access All Windows 7 Tasks with God Mode
Recently news of what some still consider an easter-egg within Windows 7 was shared via the social networks. The news spread fast due to the unique name, “God Mode”. While a much better name could have been chosen God Mode is actually a useful feature.
God Mode isn’t really an Easter-egg but will create what you might consider as a Super Control Panel.
Creating God Mode is simple. Just right-click on your Desktop or any folder and select New –> Folder from the menu.
Just name this folder by using copy and paste.
GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
The truth is you don’t have to call it God Mode. Any text in front of the CLSID numbers will work. NOTE: Some report this may not be supported by x64 bit Windows. See comments.
You could also copy and paste the following.
BillP’s Super Control Panel.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
When you click on the new icon Windows Explorer will open. The right side will include a huge number of Windows 7 configuration and management utilities. Technically this is the Windows 7 “All Tasks” list, a useful tool.

Works fine on my 32 bit Vista Business. Now I can actually find something when I need it.
I read that this only works for the 32 Bit version & will screw up the 64 bit version. Is that correct?
This didn't work for me in Win7 64 bit Ultimate.
I have come across several references that this is only for the 32 bit version of either OS.
It will mess up Vista 64 Bit systems..it killed Windows Explorer on my 64-bit Vista Home Premium.
It works fine on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit. If you think it won't work on a 64 Bit system, then your system has other problems......http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/8711/stupid-geek-tricks-enable-the-secret-how-to-geek-mode-in-windows/
If you look at my list of tasks you'll notice that it includes my Lenovo System Health Control panel.
That would indicate that this master list also contains 3rd party configuration tools that are properly registered.
My guess is the inconsistencies that are being reported may be due to other 3rd party configuration tools which may not support this super control panel.

As Tregonsee says it also works on Vista Business 32 Bit. It does make it easier to find certain tasks in a hurry.
Tried it on Win 7 Pro x64 - worked like a charm.
It works great on my Win7 Ultimate x64 system.
installed it on vista 64-bit & it went on a never ending desktop folder restart cycle... it was too funny.
fix this by booting to safemode with command prompt, then type: rd / s "GodMode.{ed7ba470-8e54-465e-825c-99712043e01c}" <--- exactly like that, with the quotes.
actually just take it from me & "just don't go there."
It worked for me on Windows 7 x64 Ultimate (AUS)
It worked just fine on a win. 7 pro 64 bit system. Thanks
You can shoot on the ladder.
